Rules & Requirements for Qualified Contestant
1. The Delegate must be 18 years of age by the date of the International Mr. Gay (IMG) Competition’s Grand Finale in May of 2009;
2. The Delegate must self-identify as a gay or bi-sexual male and sign a Release & Participation Contract that assigns all rights to all images including film of his participation in the contest series to Community Promotions;
3. The Delegate is not currently in open criminal proceedings, on felony probation and does not have a felony record.
4. The Delegate agrees to attend the International Mr. Gay Competition in Manila in the Philippines in May of 2009.

The International Mr. Gay (IMG) Competition will be held in Manila in the nation of the Philippines on the weekend of May 30th of 2009. All Delegates (National Representatives) will be required to stay in the assigned host hotel. The International Mr. Gay (IMG) Competition is produced annually as a benefit for the Noble Beast Foundation through a license from Community Promotions, LLC, which also holds the trademark for “Mr. Gay.”
Delegates approved by our Certification Committee and/or their Producers are responsible for all travel expenses and arrangements. Submissions from a Licensed Producer are given priority in this approval process. The Certification Committee has the responsibility of assuring that all Delegates meet our standards for appearance, conform to our rules (see above) and are able to fulfill the mission of the Competition. English is the official language of the IMG.

Photography Requirements

Delegates will be required to submit a minimum of three (3) portraits, preferably a headshot in a dark suit with tie or open shirt, a torso and a full body photograph (no nudity, sunglasses or hats) in both hi-resolution (4x5 inch and 300 dpi minimum) and low-resolution versions with proper photo credit included. Delegate information and photographs submitted after November 1, 2008, will be eligible for participation in the 2010 Competition.
